James
is a co-founder of Thomas, McNerney & Partners and has been investing
in health care companies since 1992. James previously headed Warburg Pincus
LLC's medical technology private equity practice
where he had responsibility for investments in biotechnology, pharmaceutical,
medical device and diagnostic companies. Historical investments
include: American Medical Systems Holdings, Inc. (AMMD), Coley Pharmaceuticals
(COLY sold to Pfizer), The Medicines Company (MDCO), NeXagen, Inc. (NXGN/NXTR
sold to GILD with spin-outs to EYET, Archemix and SomaLogic), OsteoBiologics,
Inc. (sold to Smith & Nephew plc), Oxford GlycoSciences, plc (OGSI
sold to CLL), Transkaryotic Therapies, Inc. (TKTX sold to SHPGY), Visible
Genetics, Inc. (VGIN sold to BAY), Wright Medical Group, Inc. (WMGI) and
Xomed Surgical Products, Inc. (XOMD sold to MDT). He is currently a board
member of Clarus Therapeutics, Inc., Galil Medical Ltd. and Solstice Neurosciences,
Inc. Prior to joining Warburg, James was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs
International in London, England. James also serves as a Member
of the Board of Directors at the Second Stage Theatre in New York City and The Children's Hospital at Montefiore.
He graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton
School at the University of Pennsylvania and received an M.Sc. in Economics
from the London School of Economics.

Pete
has over 30 years of health care operating and venture capital experience.
In addition to co-founding Thomas, McNerney & Partners, Pete co-founded
Coral Ventures in 1992 where he was responsible for health care investing.
Pete is currently a board member of ArKal Medical, Inc., Asante Medical, Inc., Atritech, Inc., AxioMed Spine Corporation, CNS Therapeutics, Inc., EndoMetabolic Solutions, Inc., Intuity Medical, Inc.,
Torax Medical Inc. and Ascent Healthcare Solutions. Prior to joining Coral in 1992, Pete was a co-founder and
Managing Partner of The Kensington Group, a firm specializing in providing
management services to early stage companies in the health care field.
In 1986, he founded and was Chief Executive Officer of Memtec North America,
a company established to commercialize cross flow membrane microfiltration
technology in North America. Previously, Pete spent 11 years with Baxter
Healthcare Corporation, where he held various general management positions
in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. He has
served as President of the Minnesota Venture Capital Association and currently
serves on the Board of Trustees of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota.
A Certified Public Accountant, Pete received a B.A. from Yale and an M.B.A.
from Stanford University.

Alex
joined Thomas, McNerney & Partners in 2002 and is currently a board
member of Clarus Therapeutics, Inc., Tranzyme Pharma, Inc. , Quinnova
Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Zogenix, Inc. Before joining the firm,
he spent 11 years in the research department at Hambrecht & Quist
(and its successor firms Chase H&Q and JPMorgan H&Q). During his
tenure at H&Q, Alex led research teams covering the biotechnology,
specialty pharmaceutical, large-cap pharmaceutical, drug delivery and
diagnostic industries. He was the lead analyst on 10 book-running IPOs
and 20 book-run secondary offerings, raising over $2 billion for health
care companies. In 1997, Alex was named a Managing Director and began
assuming management responsibilities for the health care research group
and the firm's annual January conference. After the merger of Chase H&Q
and JPMorgan, he became the firm's Health Care Strategist. Alex was named
twice in The Wall Street Journal's All-Star Analysts Survey, including
during his last year at JPMorgan when he placed in all three categories:
stock picking (#1 in pharmaceuticals), earnings estimate accuracy (tied
for #2), and 'home run' hitting (#8 across all industries). He graduated
magna cum laude from Brown University, where he was elected to Phi Beta
Kappa.

Pratik joined Thomas, McNerney & Partners in 2004 and is currently
a board member of Altair Therapeutics, Inc., Auspex Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Cebix Incorporated, CNS Therapeutics, Inc. and Ocera Therapeutics, Inc. Before joining the firm, he was the Chief Business Officer
and co-founder of Kalypsys, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused
on the discovery and clinical development of new medicines for cancer,
inflammation and metabolic disease using its proprietary automation technologies.
At Kalypsys, he was responsible for the overall strategy, business development
and operations of the company and oversaw raising more than $130 million
in equity financings and corporate deals. Prior to co-founding Kalypsys,
Pratik was at McKinsey & Company where he focused on biotechnology
and venture capital projects. He was formerly co-founder and VP of Operations
at NephRx Corporation, a start-up company focused on the discovery of
therapeutic proteins for renal disease. Pratik holds a B.S. in Biological
Sciences from the University of California at Irvine and both a Ph.D.
in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and an M.B.A. from the University
of Chicago.

Eric joined Thomas, McNerney and Partners in 2007.
Prior to joining the firm he was a Managing Director of HealthCare Ventures,
a health care focused venture capital firm, from 2001-2007. Eric currently
sits on the board of Oriel Therapeutics, Inc. and Virdante Pharmaceuticals, Inc. His prior board seats have included
CardioKine, Inc., SkinMedica, Inc., Vaxinnate, Inc., Metaphore, and 3-D
Pharmaceuticals. Eric was CEO of Genovo, Inc., a biopharmaceutical
company that specialized in gene delivery and gene regulation. He was
also executive director of TheraTech, Inc. (acquired by WPI.) Eric was a Vice President and Managing Director of Philadelphia
Ventures from 1992 to 1997. He is a member of the board of overseers
of the Tufts School of Medicine. Eric received his Medical Degree with honors from Harvard Medical School. He graduated with honors from Cornell University with a B.A. College Scholar and a B.A. in Chemistry. Eric was also a Luce Fellow and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Kathy
joined Thomas, McNerney & Partners from Piper Jaffray, where she was
a health care analyst focused on medical technology companies. While at
Piper, Kathy covered over 20 companies in the medical device, medical
supply and diagnostic areas. Her background also includes experience in
new product development at Solvay, S.A. (in a division that is now part
of Wyeth). Projects at Solvay included the development of vaccines for
the prevention of viral infections. Kathy was also a Senior Scientist
in molecular biology at the University of Minnesota, where she worked
on the development of molecular biology based assays for the detection
of infectious agents.
Kathy is currently a board member of EndoMetabolic Solutions, Inc. and Softscope
Medical Technologies, Inc. Her educational background includes an
M.S. degree in Microbiology from the University of Minnesota and an M.B.A.
from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management, where
she was a Robert and Gail Buuck Scholar.

Prior
to Thomas, McNerney & Partners, Christine was a member of Warburg
Pincus LLC's medical technology group. At Warburg, she evaluated
and executed venture deals, leveraged buyouts and structured public investments
totaling over $250 million. Christine joined Warburg from Bear, Stearns
& Co. Inc., where she was an analyst in the health care investment
banking group and worked on mergers and acquisitions and equity financings
in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Christine is a graduate
of the University of Michigan with a B.S. with distinction in Cellular
Molecular Biology and Economics and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business
School.

Jason joined Thomas, McNerney & Partners in
2007 after spending four years as a member of the investment team at Forward
Ventures, where he played an active role in Forward-led rounds of investment
totaling over $50 million. Prior to joining Forward, Jason conducted research
in antimicrobial drug discovery and bacterial genomics as a postdoctoral
fellow in Infectious Diseases at Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical
Research and Development. He is currently a board member of Altair Therapeutics,
Inc. Jason earned a Ph.D. in Biology at the University of California,
San Diego, where he was a National Science Foundation Fellow, and a B.S.
in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Purdue University.

Anya joined Thomas, McNerney & Partners in 2008 from Medtronic, Inc.
At Medtronic, Anya held several sales and marketing leadership roles in
both the United States and Europe. Her Switzerland-based roles were focused
on Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and the Emerging Markets. In Switzerland,
Anya managed the market development efforts for the Neurological businesses,
including establishing the Obesity business. She also managed the coronary
stent marketing group, which launched two drug-eluting stents and one
bare-metal stent and reached over $200 million in sales. In the U.S.,
Anya held a sales leadership position in the Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management
business. Prior to Medtronic, Anya was a member of the William Jefferson
Clinton Presidential Foundation HIV/AIDS initiative. At the WJCPF, Anya
led country assessment and readiness efforts and supported procurement
negotiations. Anya was also a consultant at McKinsey & Company, where
she was a member of the Corporate Finance and Pharmaceutical & Medical
Products practices. Anya received her M.B.A. with honors from the Wharton
School at the University of Pennsylvania and received her A.B. cum laude
from Princeton University.

Susan
has over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry. She
is responsible for the finance, accounting, human resources and administrative
functions of the firm. Before joining the firm,
Susan ran a successful consulting business and served as an interim Chief
Financial Officer at a variety of companies including Crescendo Ventures,
Next Century Growth Investors and the Packaging Department, a service
and software company.
Prior to becoming a consultant,
she was the Chief Financial Officer for Endurant Business Solutions, a
management consulting firm. Susan also worked for Investment Advisers,
Inc. ("IAI"), where she spent 7 years in the mutual fund group as the
Vice President and Treasurer of Mutual Fund Operations. Before joining
IAI, Susan was a Senior Manager for KPMG Peat Marwick, specializing in
the financial services industry. She holds a B.A. in Accounting from Luther
College and is a Certified Public Accountant.
